As a parent of a dancer, we understand you have a choice between several different studios. At IMDC, we believe all dance studios are NOT the same. Our team consistently renovates and improves our dance programs, facilities, and technology. We remain true to our commitment to small class size and our mission statement in order to ensure we are always providing our students and parents with the best dance experience possible. Our limited class sizes are based on age and level with a professional and fun atmosphere

Quality Instruction

  • We employ top-notch faculty that instill positive reinforcement when working with your children

  • We offer classes in a variety of dance styles, including tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, Irish step, creative movement, pre dance, and hip hop

  • Beginner through advanced class levels in each of our age groups

  • Classes for all ages, children through adults

  • Classes at optimal times

  • Classes that run from September to June, with an annual end-of-year recital

  • Three studios spaces to teach multiple classes in different age groups at once. Each studio space is equipped to provide the highest quality of dance and movement experience to each student. 

  • Each studio has a long wall of mirrors to ensure body alignment, group unison, and learning assistance for a variety of techniques.

  • Each studio has a double row of barres to support  students as they learn balance work. Dancers  will gradually gain confidence in their skills in order to perform in the center of the floor. 

  • Our studios floating subfloor absorb, dissipate, and provide safe, resilient energy return to ensure “dancing bodies” of all ages are protected from stress fractures and excessive fatigue, avoiding pain, joint stress, and injury. Safety is the number one issue with dancers when it comes to floors!

  • Comfortable lobby for parents to view their dancers' class on our large screen TV with a live feed from each dance studio. 

  • Shopping, banking, and dining experiences are just a stone’s throw away from our studio!

Annual Performances

  • We offer hassle-free and memorable annual performances that will be proud to be a part of.

  • Our annual Recital at Grand Ledge High School Auditorium is held every year in June.

  • We offer various local performance opportunities for our dancers.

  • We ensure all of the choreography, class routines, costumes, and music are age appropriate, always!

  • At In Motion Dance Center, we constantly striving to service the community and better educate our dancers
